I was a little puzzled by it all at first but then came to the realisation that, as in people, if all forums were the same it would be a dull world. I don't remember telling anyone I was going to avoid them, though....
My favourite forum (photographic) allows good sized images to be displayed without links - but that's just the way it was set up and there are rules to keep it running smoothly.
Boddie has spared a lot of time to explain the situation to you , which is more than a lot of people would on some forums!

I can understand why it is done but I am not keen on being ridiculed for not agreeing.
