| | | help needed for newbie Hi guys, this is my first post and already asking for advice, i am so new to all this, i have just purchased a camera off a friend, fuji s3500, takes good pics but would like to get a telephoto lens for it.
When i say i'm new to all this i mean this is the first camera i have ever had and would like to get into the swing of all this, anyway, does anyone know what 55mm threaded lens would go with this camera, sorry if i bored you with all my inexperience, what a great site, many thanks.

Fuji probably do a conversion lens for your camera, but it could be expensive.
I think the Olympus TCON-17, which increase the focal length by a factor of 1.7, has the same thread as your camera.
Adding a tele-convertor will always be a bit of a compromise and may result in photos that lack contrast and sharpness. Having said that quite a few folks use a convertor.
Best way would be if a local friendly dealer would allow you to take a few shots with one, perhaps just outside their shop, so you can see the effect. |
