Adding name to Photo after upload

I didnt name a photo when uploading now i cant find an option to add a name is there one please thank you...Ray

I dont think you can if you have used it in a thread. But you can add a comment if you want to once something has been identified. That way if someone comes across it again they will know what they are looking at.

It would be nice to have an edit facility on our uploaded photos. I'm sure plenty of us have made mistakes, or not known what name to put on them, and could do with being able to add after. Especially beginners like me, who need ID on something.

Once its all programmed the links are set up with reference numbers between the posts and the images in the library/Gallery and to change a name at this point would be very difficult - the site is always available and someone might be looking at that very post. But you can put the details in as a comment, which I have done but only once I think. Not sure if a search would find the comments though

That's the point I was trying to make. It makes it virtually unsearchable, even if at a later time you have a positive ID on the subject.

I suppose we could try to contact site admin to have it added or moved to the Gallery if suitable? Just a thought.

Yes - it would be good to have an 'identified as' tag. To go into the Gallery, even if there is no other specimen there, they have to be really good photos (only saying that as I know mine arent)
