| | | Lens Help Hi, My Wife as just bought a OPTON 500 mm f/8 manual focus super telephoto lens ( wich allso has a x2 convertor with it ) for me wich i am hoping to use on my Pentax K100D. The only thing is i can not seem to Focus in on things far away. I am not sure what settings to put my camera on. All the Lens as on it is a Focusing Ring on the end. Thank you. Barry |

A 500mm lens is difficult to hand hold at the best of times, especially with manual focusing and a converter would make this virtually impossible. x2 converters only work well with really top notch lenses.
An F8 lens will require good light.
This lens is being discussed on this site OPTON 500f/8 lens so it might be worth going there for advice. |

Jim | and as this is a fixed apperture mirror lens it will require more light than the comparable telephoto - you also get donuting on your images.
