| | | Macro camera for flowers Hi,
Can anyone recommend a camera, under about £200, which can take good close-ups of flowers please? I was looking at a fuji bridge camera of some sort but wondered if there are also any smaller ones. I have been researching but it just takes ages to wade through everything. I have a panasonic tz4 at the moment, which is a bit hit and miss, and only goes down to about 2 inches, and despite it being 8 megapixels it doesn't seem to give as much detail as my hubbys old nikon coolpix with 4 mps.
I know most of you are into really serious cameras and photograpy, I just want to take flower close-ups and landscapes really, but I just thought one of you might be able to recommend something for me.
Thanks |

| | | Re: Macro camera for flowers fujifilm bridge cameras are very good.
MP only affect the size of the image. A good camera with 4mp will give far better images than a bad camera with 20mp. The only reason you would need more than around 6-10mp is if you are printing or displaying the images very large .
here's a flower photos from my fujifilm S9600

| | | Re: Macro camera for flowers If it's a small camera you are looking for, have a look at some of the newer Nikon Coolpix range, most have a macro setting which is pretty good for flowers. My husband is a bus driver and always has one with him, I can't remember exactly which model, and he has taken some nice scenic shots from the top carpark on Cairngorm. |
