Dave. I was using the Canon 9000 but after that started causing problems after around 2 years use (which appears to be average for me) I eventually purchased an Epson R1900.
Probably not a lot of difference between this and the Canon. I think that the Canon prints tended to be a bit high on green while Epson is a touch strong with reds.
The long life ink influenced me slightly although the Canon 9000 ink still has a reasonable life if stored correctly. The main thing which convinced me to go down the Epson road was 2 USB input points. I keep my main photo editing computer well away from the internet and use a cheap secondhand model for risky stuff, like internet use.
Either way the most important thing is to shop around and compare prices, which I found to vary by 50%. |
