Hi all,
I finally got my Sigma Em140 Ring flash. I have a Nikon D50 and NO experience really of how to set up flash properly so I just popped the batteries in, quick scan of the manual, then went out to play.
Firstly - maybe it's my lack of experience but the unit seemed....big. With a Tamron 90mm, 1.4TC an Extension tube and the flash on the end makes it quite a beast. It was very easy to attach the actual flash to the end of the lens, theres a couple of push in buttons on the outside that you push in, fit to the adapter then let go, pretty nippy. Fitting the main unit into the hotshoe took a little bit of pressure which surprised me, it slides in but not easily then theres a dial to lock it down. Same with getting it out, takes a bit of pressure, i expected it to be alot easir but then I guess it has to be really snug.
Everything seemed to work right off the bat. I dont fully understand iTTL (maybe someone could be kind enough

) but the unit worked right away by setting the + and - Ev through the camera. Other than that I havent played around with it much yet.
Heres a few shots i took.

Only just ordered my tripod so many were handheld or monopod.
For anyone thinking of getting one I'm happy to answer any questions, bear in mind I have little experience tho
