| | | SIGMA 50-500mm f/4-6.3 Anyone know where the best place is to get the SIGMA 50-500mm f/4-6.3 lens from.
I'm thinking about getting on for my Canon EOS350D, I've got a 90-300 telephoto, but I'm finding that it's not quite good enough to get those close-up shots of birds.
I was thinking about getting a teleconverter for it, but not sure if it would be compatible.
Your views/advice would be greatly appreciated.

| | | Re: SIGMA 50-500mm f/4-6.3 Hi,
Cameraking have them at £714.95 which appears to be the cheapest. I've not got one or looked before so I have no idea if this is a great price or not. I've ordered from them a couple of times (smaller items though) and found them to be pretty good.
I'm sure you could get a teleconverter for the lens you have. Kenko seem to be the most compatible.
I'm sure some of the Bigma (i think thats what they call that lens) owners will jump in to help here.

| | | Re: SIGMA 50-500mm f/4-6.3 "acceptable" maybe. Outstanding..no. There's a big difference between paying out for the Bigma or paying out for a TC, which will be reflected in the pictures for sure. The Bigma of course will be the better option but IMO a TC wouldn't necessarily be a total waste of time. |
