Wanted: Mouse Photographs

Hello,

I work on the EYE (Exploring Your Environment) Project based within the Hancock Museum in Newcastle upon Tyne. Our Project is all about encouraging people in the North East of England to actively record the wildlife they see around them to help us build a regional database of species records.

We are designing a mouse mat to promote the EYE Project and encourage wildlife recording, and I have been searching high and low for some photographs of a wood mouse and a house mouse to put on it!

Does anyone have any photos that we could possibly use for this purpose - Ideally we'd like to be able to see the whole body including the tail.

I would be extremely grateful if anybody could help with this!

Why don't you search the Gallery?

If you find what you want there, you could contact the owner for permission to use it.

You're welcome to this one if it's any use...

Not a very natural looking setting. He'd been caught in a trap set for water voles on a construction site near me (full story at crossness water voles go on long break) and he's in the bottom of the bin that the trap was emptied into.

(Plus he's a softy southern mouse from Kent, not one of your hard mice from the north!

)

Thanks very much. There are some good ones in the Gallery, I'm trying to get a selection together so we can choose the best ones.
