I reckon you've got a good chance of winning with one of the kingfisher shots, keep your fingers crossed - I saw a lot of folks were (and still are) adding shots after the deadline expired and those on the shortlist were notified. |

Personally I think the chaffinch in the blizzard is more suitable but depends on the judges, it'll probably be a cat sitting on top of a cow picture, you know something that really is wild |

| | | Re: The One Show Photography Competition Well it's supposed to be a shot taken this summer so a blizzard sounds just about right, at least in my area
I guess it depends if the judge(s) are photographers or not, if not cute factor ten will win the day... |

| | | Re: The One Show Photography Competition well, I've just seen the results on the One Show. I don't think any of the winners were WABbers. The winning swallow shot looked a bit lucky to me
Bad luck Kev. You didn't want to win a Nikon D200 anyway did you?

Matt | Nah it was only a Nikon. But imo it was a good winner. Right time right place and with camera
When are the Daily Mail winners announced ? |

Matt | It took me well over 100 hours and hundreds of images to get my hover. Getting the swallows in 80 is a good hit rate lol
If it been announced I didnt win that either lmao |

| yes, but the hover was the shot you were going for presumably, so when you eventually got the shot it was a result of hard work and skill. I doubt if she was aiming to get that swallow composition. More luck than judgement, I suspect, although maybe I'm being unfair. It was still a good shot.
