Well - you can be in the right place, at the right time, with all the right equipment, and be sitting on a pile of four leaved clovers, but if you haven't got the skill as well, you're never going to get a shot like that.
(It certainly puts my having a photo shown on the BBC Nature's Top 40 website in the shade  ).
It's an absolutely staggering photo.
