| | | re: what's exposure? Hello Sam like Nick said you would be advised to get a book on photographyto help you understand the workings of the camera.
Basicaly exposure is when you trip the shutter button to take the photo/image,the time it takes for the shutter to open and close and used in conjunction with the aperture that is the size of the hole in the lens allowing the light through to fall on the sensor to allow the image to be recorded,this is called the exposure .
But there is a lot more to it than that,you would be better getting a book on basic photography to help you through the early stages,,,,best of luck
