| | | Monthly WAb photo comp? Apologies if this an old and discounted idea, but it is quite hard to think of a way to search for it. Another forum I subscribe to (BirdForum) hold a competition each month for members to enter a pic on a given theme. The theme changes each month and at the end of the month a poll is set up to allow all members to vote for their favourite shot. There is no money, no prize, but the satisfaction of having your picture chosen by your fellow WABbers. As a general wildlife forum I would think that there is a much greater variety of categories that could be suggested insects, landscapes, wildflowers, fungi etc. in comparison to a bird only forum.
I have been here long enough to know that there are some brilliant photographers here and I think it could be a good way for people to showcase a shot that they are particularly pleased with to a wider audience than by posting to the Gallery.
Yours

It's a good idea and would give members another interest. Perhaps the Mods could choose a picture of the month in different categories from all photos submitted each month.
I suspect that if the voting was by members that some would vote for their friends, making it unfair.
I am assuming that the Mods are scholars and gentlemen

Although I do admit to having no politicians amongst my friends.
It's a nice idea and works well on BirdForum. |

No offence intended

I'll vote for you Ben, wouldn't want that georgeous avatar spoiled with a trembly lip and a tear making it's way down the wrinkles of your coupon
