| | | Competition info needed I am thinking of going in for a competition (unfortunately it closes on the 30th November so I'll have to be quick) but one of the rules states that 'every image must be tagged with category number, photographer name and species name'
What does 'tagging' mean and how do I do it?
Thanks |

| | | Re: Competition info needed If you can, email the organisers for clarification. Some programs like photoshop allow you to add your name and image tags to the exif data, but I don't know if this feature is available in other programs. At the least, you could put the info in the filename and hope that is enough, but I'd want to double check it with someone in charge. |

| | | Re: Competition info needed In Windows Vista: - Open Windows Explorer and find your file
- Right click on it and select Properties (last entry in the pop-up menu)
- Select the "Details" tab
- In the Description section, move your mouse pointer down under the "Value" heading until is next to the "Tags" property. You should see a box appear with "Add a tag" in it.
- Click in the box and type in the tags separated by semi-colons (Vista will insert semi-colons automatically if you click to the right of what you've already entered). Press return when finished.
- Click OK.
In Windows XP: - Open Windows Explorer and find your file.
- Right click on it and select Properties (last entry in the pop-up menu).
- Select the "Summary" tab.
- In the Description section, click in the white space under the "Value" heading and next to the "Keywords" property (tags are called keywords in XP). You should see an empty text box appear.
- Click in the box and type in the tags separated by semi-colons. Press return when finished.
- Click OK.
If you have an earlier version of Windows then it's probably similar to the XP method.
Good luck in the competition!
