Hi All

Sorry I've not posted for a while - for one reason or another I've either not had my camera, Bigma, or both!

Now I have everything back together I thought you'd like to see the 'test' shots I took with my (now replaced) Bigma. I've still got to get used to it again, but so far, so good.

These were all taken at Keyhaven in Hampshire (just along the coast a little from Lymington) on Saturday, with the Bigma/Olympus E-3 combination:

Black Headed Gull leaping out of the water:

My favourite pick of the bunch (and a first 'spot' for me ), a Stonechat (female in this case):


Finally, a shot of The Needles:


You can see from that picture that the weather was somewhat 'variable' (I mean pretty awful for most photography!)

Good to see you're back in action with your E3 and Bigma Thea.

Some pretty good pics there, were you using a monopod or tripod for these?

I see from the exif you shot the above at 1/80sec with the 'Bigma' at 500mm. Did you use IS and hand-hold it or use a tripod and no IS?

Hello Jim (and Dave) - yes, I used IS, but hand held the camera. I had a monopod with me, but I just can't get on with either monopods or tripods (but I keep trying ).

A good shot and particularly impressive that it was with a handheld 'Bigma' at 1/80th sec!
