Glad you had a great visit to Mevagissey.
Mousehole is also lovely too.

Just wanted to say we spent a lovely week in July, Mousehole ( leave your car outside the village and walk in I would say, we were able to admire all the lovely little cottages that way) was one of the places we visited amongst many others! I am a convert to walking a fair distance as a result!!!! (new camera helped ) We will be back to walk the Lizard Peninsula again along with the many other beautiful coastal sites....

Thanks Gess. Yet another one for my must do list for next year. For those interested see the following link Mousehole, Cornwall

With these suggestions coming, I am going to have a good visit itinerary for next year. Cornwall and Devon have proved to be really interesting places to stay and explore. My wife and I are already looking forward to more trips and may be out again next month in the caravan.

This is Mousehole from last year the weather was bit better then. Lovely place you will enjoy it.

We went to St Ives this year it was a washout we cut the holiday short. Prob go aboard next year.

We also went to St Ives whilst in Cornwall. Got there and found that you had to park in one of the car parks on the surrounding hills but ALL were full
After one hour travelling between car parks we gave up. I am not sure I shall ever return. There are other, better, places to visit which are easier to get to.

Awww, that's a shame its a beautiful place. Sorry you had problems with the parking. There is a park and ride (train) at Lelant.
We stayed at Ayr holiday park its on the cliff overlooking the Town so parking was not a problem for us.

We stayed near Mevagissey so it was quite a long journey to St Ives. That's why we were so disappointed. I hate crowds and that also did not help.
