Shameless plug - my gallery

Hi, apologies if this is being posted in the wrong place.

I've finally finished writing my website and am now going public with it.

Its mainly a Gallery of photographs I've taken which I'll be adding to as and when I take ones I think deserve a place there. Its split into different categories and the clouds seems to hold the most at the moment.

I've made it so that comments can be left with individual pictures and I feel I must add here that no information gained by my site will ever be passed onto anyone else. This means the image comments, the guestbook and any emails collected from the contact me page.

Any comments and suggestions on the site itself are more than welcome.

Has anyone else got a website of their pictures?

Awwww

Its not spam - see that small question at the bottom asking if others have their own sites?

I've filled in the "website" bit in my profile but can't seem to find it in the forum in my posts. Although I like the Gallery on here I can't seem to navigate it properly.

I'd not consider its spam as its a photograph Gallery posted in what I believe to be an appropriate thread and my Gallery contains many nature pics with more to come.

Thats just the sort of comment thats likely to endear you to the administrators. Everybody else seems to be able to navigate it properly.

Perhaps had you taken the trouble to add a link to this site on your own site things may have been different.

I can see Stuarts point. You come on here and admitedly use the site as a "Shameless Plug" and do not even give this site a mention on your own.

What do you expect?

Just what I predicted in earlier threads and now everyone suffers. I have never advertised my site on here and no doubt will never get the opportunity to.

Hi Zeb,

Unfortunately, your site doesn't appear to be specifically aimed at British wildlife.

I've just look through many of your other posts and noticed that you've added links to your site on lots of occasions.

We're about to implement a new system that will disallow almost all external links to images, to protect us from linking to unwanted photos. Obviously, when a link is first posted it can direct to a relevant photo, but the photo in the URL can be easily changed to something else later on

If you still need any help with navigating the Gallery then just let me know - although I see you're an IT engineer, so you'll prbobably know more than me

Zeb, doesnt the title " a shameless plug" tend to suggest that you know its not the done thing, but are doing it anyway ?

In answer to your question many of us have websites of our pictures - I have three with a pro site under construction - but I also have too much respect for WAB to use it as a vehicle for shameless self promotion.
