Camouflage

I've just been chatting on another site about camo kit for camera accesories etc. I make my own bits and pieces using elasticated tubular bandages with snippets of builders hessian sewn on, then dye the whole lot with a variety of green and brown clothes dyes. I've also made a face net from a bit of old fishing net and some old, large glasses frames.

It'll either give you an idea for some cheap camo kit, or the best laugh you've had in ages. :-), but here they are:

Re: Camouflage

Hi

nothing wrong with those, they should work a treat.

Mind you , I shouldn't walk out of the bushes while a dog walker is passing when wearing that mask, it might cause a couple of heart attacks

Yep, definitely works, and I've already had a few moments with dog walkers and joggers.

I know what you mean. I was in long grass last year and there was a courting couple about 20 yards away. I didn't know what to do, so just sat there until they left as I didn't want to expose myself if you know what I mean, I could have been accused of anything.

LOL I haven't had that happen yet, but I often worry that I'm going to be attacked by a roving dog. I nearly copped it once just walking across our local heath with my kit in bags etc. This whopping great Towser seemed to take exception to my tripod, I'm sure he had it down as a gun. I had to stand stock still with my hands raised out of biting range until his owner caught us up and bought him under control.

.... I guess a better lensman than me would have been looking for an action shot. I was looking for an escape route.

Re: Camouflage

I'm sure I've seen that facemask in Star Wars somewhere.....

Glad they do the job for cheap (maybe too well by the sounds of it)
