| | | Re: Macro Moments Hi Graham
they were mostly as follows:
ISO 100 -1/3 stop
f2.8 - i.e. max aperture
Camera mounted on tripod (benbo Mk 1)and used the remote release so that I had to fired the remote control twice, i.e. first time to raise the mirror, the second to fire the shutter. This involves a custom function but I think you have already got it.
I also took several at f16 but I rather liked the shallow DOF.
NB. One thing I recommend - check that histogram!! Really I mean it - check it! If you are anything like me you get carried away having a great time and then you find you have blown the exposure! I got some really silky images - just what I wanted and then I had blown the exposure. I will just have to get some more.
Don't worry about being creative - 'cos I am not! Just look through the lens at max aperture. If you have extension rings go in close on the smaller flowers - you will be amazed at what you see, - little aphids appear from nowhere, stamens jump out at you!
Have fun - any queries plese don't hesitate to contact me - that goes for any and everyone I am pleased to share any knowledge or skills I have - hey I have got the time now!!
Jon
