| | | Photos with a very inexpensive lens. I thought members might be interested in these pictures that I took yesterday with an Opteka 500mm lens. Opteka I hear you ask? Well they are a Korean lens and available on ebay. I appreciate that from a real perfectionists point of view these pictures a bit "soft" but to be honest I am really pleased with them. The cost of the lens was just a bit under £100 and came, for a bit extra with a 2x convertor and "t" mount adapter for my Pentax K110D. It shipped from New York and was with me within 5 days including a weekend so that in it's self was amasing. VAt was paid on ordering so no nasty customs to pay either. Too good to be true really! I bought it because I am looking to buy a Sigma 75-500 zoom but just cant get one in a Pentax fit, still looking if anyone can help me? So I thought I would have a gamble. I am having amazing fun and success with it. |

Park Cameras usually stock it but look around and you will probably get a better price.

| | | Re: Photos with a very inexpensive lens. Thanks for your help about the Sigma lens, yes that is the one I am looking for, but I have tried everywhere for one and they just don't seem to be available.
I will try Park as you suggest.
Cheers and thanks for the nice comments about the photos everyone. |

| | | Re: Photos with a very inexpensive lens. they're not bad shots, particularly considering the light looks poor. I'd be interested to see what it could do in good light. Were these taken with the 2x converter or just the lens on its own?
