You need high ISO and a wide aperture, and if you're goign to use flash (which you'll need to check with the staff as some animals are more sensitive), it needs to point away from the animal. I did ok without flash though - just pick well lit tanks and take loads of shots. A lens hood is also great for stopping you banging your lens against the glass! |

Looks like I was on the right path with high ISO and wide aperture, possibly if I tried my 100mm macro lens I may have done better than with the 70-300 ? What do you think ?

| | | Re: Birmingham sealife centre disaster Probably, yes, and if you're going to use the on-board flash try the rubber lens hood as mentioned above so you can put the lens right up against the glass.
