I know this is not about wildlife or even Britain, but everyone here has given me so much support with my photography that I thought you may like to know that one of my photographs got a mention in the DT Big Picture competition.
See image number 5 at Travel photography competition, The big picture winners, round two - Telegraph.
I did not win a prize but I am very excited at getting a mention 
Actually this one was taken with my little Casio point and shoot. I did not want to take my Canon onto the beach. Amazing what you can get out of these little cameras!

Dave P. | Dave, I was trying to capture remoteness and I think I got it! That is my son in the picture. He was in a bad mood because I was messing around trying to photograph seaweed and shells. Even from that distance he looks like he is in a bad mood!
