| | | Dipper or Not Dipper Could any bird photographers tell me if I am right in thunking that this is a dipper. I know its not good enough for the gallery - I was using my little bigma with a 2x converter in fairly poor light, hand held (well resting on a tree) so its a bit soft.

| | | Re: Dipper or Not Dipper That one was at Jannets foss, near Malham in the dales, below the waterfall there is a little wooded valley with a stream, and it was sitting on the top of a small fall when I got there. I just had time to grab the 300D (which has the little bigma attached permanently now that I have a 20D too) focus, and blaze off three bursts of three before it was scared off by some walkers coming the other way. Of the nine shots only the two above are acceptably sharp.

| | | Re: Dipper or Not Dipper No question it's a dipper. Only bird in the UK that has adapted for swimming/walking underwater. Lovely to watch them flying under waterfalls | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
