Avatar Probems

Can anyone give me some help with posting my own Avatar I have the picture and have reduced it to 80x80 pixels but I am being told that the file size is too big. How can I rebuce the file size without reducing the pixels.

use jpeg compression to make it smaller than 20kb

Thanks but not sure how I would do this using PS Elements 5 for editing. Any help please would be appreciated

I find that it is very hard to get below 20kb using Photoshop even on the lowest setting

I have found that opening the file in paint and then resaving usually does the trick
