| | | Re: Fake SanDisk compact flash cards I always buy my equipment from reputable dealers, so there is far less chance of this sort of thing happening. This also applies to grey import gear. I'd sooner have the back-up of the manufacturer than the business integrity of a web sit knocking out cheap alternatives. I know that some dealers are better than others, but until you find out for yourself, it's a risk. Still, you pay your money, and you make your choice.

| | | Re: Fake SanDisk compact flash cards eBay = Caveat emptor. What more can one say.
The guy says "The price was very good....in fact, too good to be true,...."
The idiot was already suspicious, yet went ahead with the deal, so he got what he desreved.

| | | Re: Fake SanDisk compact flash cards this is a known problem on ebay and such places. Ebay actually have an FAQ and guide to spotting fake sandisk cards (not much good when you're buying, but you can check when it arrives). Still, for the price of memory cards these days, why bother with the hassle?

| | | Re: Fake SanDisk compact flash cards Certainly take a big risk buying SanDisk memory cards on ebay unless you buy from one of the reputable Hong Kong dealers but then postage out weighs the benefits. Usually get mine from 7dayshop or one of the Amazon shops at a good price and no fakes to date.
