Pete James RIP

I just heard the sad news that pete james owener and founder of the santago leopard project has passed away.

Ive been to the centre near welyn garden city many times to photograph his leopards (african, amur, clouded, snow and black panther + a random puma rescued by rspca and given a home at santago) and Petes cheerful presence and massive knowledge and commitment to captive breeding leos will be much missed. (his was one of only two centre in the uk to sucessfully breed clouded leo in captivity)

I dont know what will happen to santago now as it was very much petes show , but i hope that someone will keep it running in his memory and thus allow his work to live on.
