Hi one word of warning about the original question:

Photoshop will run OK on the Intel Macs PROVIDING you are running the latest, patched, CS3 so you will need to stump up for software. Dunno if Photoshop elements is upgraded yet.

All the parts of Adobe CS2 suite runs like a dog because it's not Intel native, especially with multiple pages open, in fact much slower on a dual-core Macbook than on a G4!

The best bit about the Intel machines is that you can install a copy of "Parallels" to run all of those PC applications you can't get on the Mac platform.
