Photographs In the Gallery

Hi,
I am new here and have posted some pictures in the gallery. But for some reason I am not been able to see them. It says they are waiting to be approved. How long does this take.

All the gallery photos are approved by a moderator to check they meet the site requiremetns and are named correctly. All volunteer work but usually photos are up within 24 hours (and mostly much quicker than that). If you want to post images for immediate use in the forums select the 'archive' option rather than the gallery. The archive shows immediatey.

A key requirement is that images have to be titled in the form of Common Name - Scientific Name (e.g. Great Tit - Parus major). If they are not titled in this manner I'm afraid they will be rejected. If you know the common name, a gallery search will provide the scientific names. If you don't know the common name you should post your image in the Archive (rather then the main, moderated, gallery) in the Unidentified Section. You can then start a thread and include the image, to ask for a positive ID.
