Has anybody used a 1x4 TC with the Sigma 50-500mm if so I would be interested in any information on any results.

Hi Terry,
Just to confirm my opinion hasn't changed since then. It's pretty poor overall, in PERFECT light maybe useful, if the subject is just out of decent range for the 500mm on its own. But you'll still have soft images. When do we have perfect conditions? Not often! |

Spot on Graham! I got about 5 useable images out of hundreds with this combination. It is really a waste of time and the viewfinder is so dark at the 500mm end with the TC that you cannot focus the thing easily. |
