| | | Re: Wildlife photography courses in the UK British wildlife center is cool.... a friend and I did a photography day there last year it was a great day, it was just one of the days they do no tuition or anything but a great chance to get into the enclosures and get some fab photos... it was lovely to just be that close to the animals. |

I did that last year when I visited Brownsea Island off the south coast. Living in Essex it was really too far to travel in one day and have enough time on the island.
I would recommend the Living Rainforest centre as well as the British Wildlife Centre and have been to both recently. Both worth a visit. |

| | | Re: Wildlife photography courses in the UK you can arrange your own group photo day at the BWC which includes into enclosure access with the wildcats, foxes, otters, and red squirels. However two drawbacks from a wab point of view are a) that such access is only possible on weekdays , and b) it costs £40 per person. - it also has to be arranged ahead of time
alternatively we could go as normal punters on a weekend day paying ( I think) 7.50 each but without the up close and personal access.

| | | Re: Wildlife photography courses in the UK Thanks for the Wildeye tip. Looks excellent and might book on next year. Looked at wild arena type things but not sure how much you'd learn about wildlife photography walking around caged animals enclosures.
kind regards.

Stu. | wild arena do run the tour type trips as well - but speaking as someone who has done most of their workshops at one time or another , i'd say you can learn a lot about the photography element while photographing captive animals (most of which are in enclosures not cages) without having to worry about the feild craft element
you can then apply what you have learnt in the wild leaving yopu free to concentrate on feild craft etc, once the photographic skills have become second nature
