Immage file too big?

Hi guys,
Iv'e got some cracking photos but i can't upload them because the file size is too big, ie: 1.75Kb how can I get the file size down , or can this not be done .

I imagine you mean 1.75 Mb, not Kb. I also assume your trying to load to the unidentified of forum galleries? If your loading to the main galleries, there's now no file size limit.
You need to save your file as suitable for the web, this can vary from program to program. If you choose to save as jpeg, and can select a quality, go for a mid quality range. Also re-size it down. It will need to be below 500kb.
How you do this depends on what software your using.

if you use windows, you should be able to right-click on the picture and select 'resize picture'. if you can't do that, you'll need to use an image editting program - if you don't have a good one, try downloading a free\demo version of e.g. GIMP or ImageJ... They're both open-source free programs and they're ok.
