Only one problem though...
That EXACT scene is visible in REAL LIFE, every time I visit my stepmother.
Something I'd rather not remember...

| | | Re: Bit of photoshop fun Cracking shot Mark. The picture of the moon is spot on and very sharp. Then overlaying the silhouette finishes it off. Very atmospheric. I like it.

| | | Re: Bit of photoshop fun Yes I definitely like it Mark, was looking at it for a while before I could put my finger on what made it work for me. The conclusion I came to was that the moon was so nicely detailed and it contrasted brilliantly with the very plain crow silouette. Well whatever, it's certainly a nice piece of work

| | | Re: Bit of photoshop fun Thanks Bill, did you mean the light part on the thick branch to the left of the birds?
I didnt notice the small branch at the bottom to be honest, it was just really a quick mess about in PS, which turned out nicer than i expected

| | | Re: Bit of photoshop fun If anyone else is interested in playing around with effects like Marks, this months Digital Photo Magazine has a range of video tutorials which cover this type of work.
When you watch them, it's simply amazing what you can do with an image.
I've had a go converting one of my images from bright day light shot to a spooky night scene. Works really well.
My only problem is I can never remember what I've just done, so I have to watch the videos every time I want to use any of the effects. |
