New from Essex

This is all very new to me. The site that is. I have spent the last day or so reading the threads and enjoying some of the replies. Today it was time to register and plunge right in........Guess what. I've dried up. Can't think of anything to post. I guess then it is a big hello for now....

Re: New from Essex

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am looking forward to posting a few pics and chatting with you all. I am currently living just outside Southend, right near the salt marshes so there will be a few pics coming from there. My photography takes me all over the place though, which is great. . . . .

Re: New from Essex

Hi Naturelover

I lived in Elm Park, Hornchurch and Rainham then when I married, spend a few months in Ilford (but never again!), moved to Great Wakering then moved around that area, Rayleigh, Eastwood. then finally off to Bedfordshire in December 2005 (made error in last post lol). Tis a beautiful country

Re: New from Essex

Hi Brocker Welcome again....I was in GW in 1970s, bet its been built up since then. Was living in Victoria Avenue or Road and it used to be a dirt track and we could access the mud flats by going through the MoD land (bet that's all stopped now lol), road has been laid since then. Progress eh!

Re: New from Essex

Thats what they call it. There is a housing estate at the end of Victoria now. Even the local brickworks and quarry has now been demolished ready for some housing plan. Thankfully, I am up the other end....

Re: New from Essex

That's such a shame Brocker, there was a lot of wildlife on the MoD land leading to the mudflats and some beautiful wildflowers too.
