Photo buddies...

On some of the photography forums I read folks often pair up for a day's shooting and I think it's a great way to exchange tips and learn a few things so I thought I'd plant the seed here...

I'll start the ball rolling, I'm based in Welligton, Somerset and mostly shoot macro in the local area...

Hi, I am based in Caxton, on the Cambs/Beds border. I mostly shoot birds, although this year I really wouldn't mind trying any macro, with bluebells being the one I would like to try! I go with my brother-in-law on some occasions, he is Nikon user and I am Canon, so no predujice

I'm in Milton Keynes (but might move to gloucestershire soon, job int this friday-fingers crossed). I mainly do wildlife, macro, and landscape but have been known to do gigs, events and sport as well. I'd be happy to meet some new photo buddies. Also if anyone is interested in a trip to the highlands this winter I'd be happy to share costs...

Good for you Alan. Worth a try. Get yourself a photo on. We did have a mugshots section a while back. Not sure if the thread is still active.

Judging by some of the entries I think it may be in the hands of Interpol

I live/work and do most of my photography in Leicestershire but I have been known to travel especially if there's the chance of getting some nice images.
As most people who use this site will have guessed I am a self confessed Macro addict specialising in Dragonflies but I will try my hand at photographing anything (within reason!!)

So if anyone is in my area and fancys meeting up for a photo shoot just give me a shout.

It's a shame nearly all of us live so far apart, otherwise maybe we could arrange to meet up somewhere for a WAB day out. I'm afraid would be a bit awkward for most people though, what with job and family commitments etc

well guys i think i'm in the lead so far for living far away, as I don't live in England. I live in near Perth in Scotland. It sounds like a great idea though Pxl8.

I thought the northern lights were out of the question this year. If not I would appreciate a heads up as to when they may be possible. Would love to see them

Hi Boddie the Northern Lights an happen almost anytime all there needs to be is a sunspot that explodes facing towards Earth and there will probably be Northern Lights, however they may only be visible futher north in somewhere like Alaska. I know a site that gives you regular updates on solar activity and where it is likely to be seen, it's called www.spaceweather.com/

Ok one more for the thread.

Based in Gloucester but currently working on Anglesey. Living out of a suitcase in a rented cottage. Available every evening for anything photographic based

well almost anything. sitting in front of a TV can get flipping boring! Love any photographic challenge and I'm very very patient so if you just want to shoot the breeze, shoot wildlife or want some help I'm available. Mug shot in the other thread, not that will help my cause any lol

i would love to be involved in this as i already run a photographic group from my home and offer a beginners macro course free to my friends also any one who lives near me can come and photograph my wild fowl or my tropical butterflies plus any of the wild life on my land .ranges from deer to foxes Badgers thru to kingfishers and dragonflies etc . all you need do is email me and i will arrange a time
any othertime i am happy to get together with any other members for a days photography

Heres an idea, lets have a WAB trip to that highland nature centre mentioned in the competion thread !? Aisaga (or something like that). Not so far for wolfhill to go, and I'm sure some of us would get a lot out of it. I think they said £55 pppn which wouldnt be too bad for a long weekend... Any takers ????
