| | | Canon printers Can anyone recommend a photo quality printer, price up to £200.00 I have been looking at some Canon printers (only because I have a 400D) but there are a lot to choose from. I will still be buying my prints online however I want the ability to print A4 size at home.
Any help apreciated.
Thanks |

| | | Re: Canon printers I've been thinking about a new printer -- it is a mine field out there with so many, what ever you buy today, is out of date tomorrow. Like everything else in this high tech world in which we live. I would also welcome any comments from anyone whose bought a new one recently

Thanks | I have a Epson Photo R800 the quality of the prints is excellent "with decent quality paper".
The only downside I have found was the price of the inks there are 8 of them in total so I changed to a continuous ink supply the cartridges are fed via tubes from large bottles on the out side of the printer it may sound a bit complicated but its not. its dodel to fit and you save yourself a small fortune in a very short time

| | | Re: Canon printers I have the Canon i990 and its an excellent printer. Not sure how much it cost these days, fairly cheap I should think as its been out for a few years now.
It does use seven ink cartridges, which can be a bit expensive if use Canon's dedicated carts, which I don't. 3rd party carts are much cheaper and just as good. I990 Review

| | | Re: Canon printers I don't think that you can go wrong with Epson. HP are pretty good for their all in one units, but I wouldn't buy a Canon printer. I had a Canon 5000 and it must have been the worst printer ever made. The paper handling was the worst that I have ever seen. Make a print over two A3 pages and the second print would be out of register by over a quarter of an inch. Printing family trees was a nightmare.
