into enclosure access costs 49 notes and can only be got on weekdays when the centre isnt open to the general public. for that you get into enclosure access to the otters, foxes, wildcats, and red squirels plus normal access to everything else ( Tho it would be wise to check if there are any FMD restrictions as they are in surrey and have deer)
as a regular visitor I found that there are positions (such as standing on a bench) where you can shoot over the fences in to the wildcat enclosure - which is handy if they are up trees.

I am a semi-regular to the WWT centre in London and always get some good opportunities there! Hoping to enter the Nikon/WWT competition next year.

| | | Re: Location ideas for photography this Autumn Well worth a visit if you are in the south west is Westonbrit Arboretum, was there last week although a little early yet for the autumn colours. I will be going back for a few days in the coming weeks.
As I mentioned in a previous posting the New Forest in a week or so, not so much for the wildlife but the colours and fungi.

| | | Re: Location ideas for photography this Autumn one thing about formby is that they have little fences arround the squirel paths to stop dogs, children , and idiots from straying from the paths - this can make eye level shots difficult as the fence gets in the way of prone shooting.
I found the best way round this was to find an area where there was a slight hillock about 10ft the squirel side of the fence - then lob some hazel nuts on to it (another note take your own hazel nuts - they sell peanuts on site but hazels look more natural in photos) and shoot from a low kneeling position which gets you to the squirell eye level as they are a tad higher up than you
