| | | Missed it again Just come back from ten days on the Outer Hebrides and this has to go down as one of the misses of the year. Camera set up on a tripod with a wide angle zoom waiting for the perfect light for the shot when these appeared less than 10m away. No chance to change the lens - darn it! Might have to bore you all with a few landscapes instead.

At least you saw them in their wild state, most people only ever see them in Zoo's or Wildlife parks.
The photo's not that bad, gives a sense of movement |

It's still a good shot of something I'll probably never see. So well done!

I sometimes think the ones in your head are better than the ones that end up on the computer

jaki | In retrospect I shouldn't even have tried to get a photo - just sat back and enjoyed the moment Quote:

So well done! | Yes - I've been thinking about a bridge camera for just that purpose but I think with all the other stuff I end up carrying I'd probably leave it in the rucksac - is there a really pocketable camera with decent close-up and telephoto that you should always carry that anyone knows of?
