Sigma 150 macro at £309

I've just found the Sigma APO Macro 150mm F2.8 EX DG Telephoto Prime Lens going at £309 from 'The Rival' website.

It really does seem too good to be true. Has anyone dealt with these people?

i cant find that website john - but i see that purely gadgets has it for 369 which is in the same ballpark

hmmmm i dunno -there's no contact info other than an email address and if you look at their T+Cs TheRival.co.uk : Mobile Phones, Digital Cameras, Camcorders, Electronics, Video Games, LCD, Plasma, TV, Projectors, D-SLR Lens, Bluetooth, Memory Cards, Very Cheap, Low prices, Electronics, Digital, HD Ready, Freeview, MP3, Sat Nav, Gaming, Console, they "specifically disclaim warantees of fitness for purpose" - which doesnt give me a warm and happy feeling

i would say that if you can afford to lose 300 notes take a risk and see what happens otherwise give them the swerve.

it might be worth seeing what price some of the well known ebay traders are offering this lens for - the one I'm not allowed to mention anymore had it for a significant discount last time i looked.

A bit late but just saw article in outdoor phtographer says large number of sigma lenses stolen recently , (this is a subscription copy so is actually for september - not the current issue) they may have a list of serial numbers on the sigma site ....

I got my Sigma 150 for £313 from a relatively well known Ebay trader (not the one we're not allowed to mention, he was much more expensive ). The only questionmark is over the warranty, but the gamble seems to have paid off so far. So some of these bargains are legit.
