| | | Sigma 50-500mm Just interested what people think of this lens as i am using a sigma 80-400mm on my d80.My local camera shop is closing down and one is for sale at £500 is it worth buying at that price as i could use it on my d200 for in the hide at martin mere.Thanks bryan |

It's not as good as a prime lens, there again no zoom is, nor does it cost anyway near as much as a prime.
It's a heavy lens, but not THAT heavy. If I can manage it, just about anyone else can.
The price is good, although I'd be tempted to offer less! |

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500mm Hi Bryan. I'd agree with Graham about offering less. There's loads of new ones on e-bay for £500 (this includes delivery), so you may be able to argue that £500 isn't a sale price . I know shops have larger overheads etc, but it's worth a try !
