| | | Re: Sigma 50-500mm Well went today to buy the sigma 50-500mm lens.How ever i noticed a fantastic nikon lens at a fantastic price so i purchased this 70-200mm f2.8G IF VR.Didn't need it as i have the 18-200mm but it is much better than that so it has been sold.I want a prime nikon 500mm next.Thanks bryan |

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500mm I own both the 50-500 and the 70-200VR. The Bigma is a great lens for the price but for birds in flight fairly close to you the 70-200 being F2.8 is much faster and sharper. You really need to use the Bigma on a tripod or beanbag and fire the shutter using a cable release and if possible lock the mirror up if your subject is stationary. |

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500mm I had this lens; it was amazing- but found I didn't use 500mm that much so sold it for £520 and bought the Canon 300mm f/4 IS for £550- not too bad a deal aye?
