| | | Tripod and head for macro and standing in streams As well as chasing dragonflies I want to take better pictures of fungi and things that are close to the ground and don't jump around too much , I have a small manfrotto tripod that is ok but not that flexible . Any suggestions along the lines of gitzo /combinations that may be better. Another consideration is that I end up standing in streams a lot , are any tripods more water resistant than others ? Thanks

I would also say benbo trekker and as Geordie says get used to it on dry land before taking it for a paddle They are a doddle to use once you are used to them.

| | | Re: Tripod and head for macro and standing in streams Benbo tracker has to be the most versatile for odd angles, heights and general "can't get there".
On my shopping list!
But I've used other peoples! |

| | | Re: Tripod and head for macro and standing in streams I have used a Benbo Mk1 tripod for years. All benbos have the bottom leg section that slides up over the top section. Ideal waterproofing for streams.
