Can anyone help a newbie please, I have just got a camcorder with a zoom of 40 times optical the camcorder also takes stills, has I am very interested in both wild life and architecture could anyone advice me on what type of lence I can add to get crystal clear details when taking shots from a distance.

| | | Re: advice needed if the camcorder is fixed lens you can screw a teleconverter to the filter threads to extend your zoom range, or possibly use a digiscoping adaptor to film through a telescope - at that kind of mag tho the biggest challenge to clarity is going to be wobble and the best way to combat that is going to be to use the most rock solid tripod you can afford - tho for moving pics you also need one with a smooth panning action in the head.

many thanks for all your help hopefully I might end up taking some half decent pics, just got a Tri pod from Aldi which goes from 63cm upto 156cm and it seems really steady and comes with two spirit levels a carry bag and three year warrenty all for the pricely sum of £10.99.
