10,000 photos

Ive taken 10,000 photos since buying my fz7 at the start of january. Even taking into account I sometimes take 10+ pictures of one thing try to get it in focus or just to make sure, im a bit worried I may be addicted! How does the number I've taken compare to other WABers?

I've taken 4000 since I got my camera this time last year. It would probably be more if I didn't keep forgetting to take photos of things I'm gawping at And like you, I can take up to a dozen of the same this to get the focus right!

I bought my 20D in April last year. I've now done almost 94,000 shots on it. (93,980 to be precise!)

Be interested to know if your shutter survives to 100,000 as Canon state this as a benefit of buying the 30D?

I'm getting nervous now, as it's past the quoted shutter life. A new camera body every 15-16 months? I hope not. I hear Steves got problems with his 20D, although I've no idea what the problem is.

Yes, I think you're a junkie
In just under two years, I've taken 7,500 roughly. This is partly because I'm sparing of memory (hate to use up my memory while out in the wilds - even though I do take a spare card), but also because I mainly do insects (commonly only getting one opportunity) or plants (don't usually need more than one shot), with the occasional habitat overview. What do you photograph mainly, for interest?

PS: it's a good job that we're not using film ..... !

Can you imagine what processing and printing costs would be on 94,000. Somehow I doubt I'd be so carefree!

I did about 450 during the Thursley Common weekend, but have done over 500 at Welney WWT in about 6 hours.

my 400D has done 6,770 since October, that's almost 9 months.

Graham how on earth have you taken 93,000 in 15 months?

Thankfully the problem is solved pal, it was a bad case of "error 99", a weekend without any batterys in cured it.
