| | | Photo opportunities Gloucs pls?? If any of you have locations where a budding wildlife photographer can go, that's within 30 mins drive of Cheltenham I'd be very grateful to have them, whether it's foxes in the garden, badgers on your farm, adders under your shed or bats in your belfry! I'd happily give prints to those that can help & post examples on WAB. As a busy software exec during the day I have to squeeze in the photography in the evenings & w/es.
Thanks in advance

| | | Re: Photo opportunities Gloucs pls?? the two that spring to mind are wwt slimbridge and westonbirt arboretum - I'm not sure they are with 30 mins unless you press the pedal to the metal but they arent far away
edit :btw you've got a nice website there but might i suggest that you stick a link to wab on it somewhere

| | | Re: Photo opportunities Gloucs pls?? Thanks Eeyore. I'm a member of Slimbridge & think it' great. I watched the Kingfishers on Sat a.m. there although only fleetingly as they're on their 2nd brood now so not much happening. The hide is too far away for good quality photography though but it's beautiful to watch them. I was also lucky enough to have some photos printed by WWT last year of their Lesser Flamingo chick.
Haven't tried Westonbirt yet though - thanks for the suggestion.

| | | Re: Photo opportunities Gloucs pls?? The Cotswold village of Bibury might be little further than 30mins but there is certainly wildlife there. The kingfishers have a branch by one of the bridges over the river and there are meant to be water voles there as well, but I haven't seen any there yet.
