| | | TZ series any good ? Knowing that the panasonic fz series is probably our top choice bridge camera i was intrigued to see an advert for the panasonic lumix TZ series in a magazine - this has a 10x optical zoom and is supposed to be much more compact and easily portable than the FZ series
i'm thinking about replacing my fuji f10 which has done sterling service , and wondered if this might fit the bill ( this is my walking arround camera , i also have a pansonic fz7 which lives in the car , and a canon G4 bought second hand for macro/digiscoping / and lending to people etc - plus of course numerous canon SLR and DSLR bodies and lenses for serious photographic trips)

| | | Re: TZ series any good ? The spec sounds very good. Virtually an FZ50 in a smaller, compact casing! Same Venus III engine, 10x optical, image stabilised, high ISO 800.(I'd be wary of that one though!) I'm tempted myself. The screen sounds good, viewable in the brightest and dullest of days, so they say! |

| | | Re: TZ series any good ? Pete, if you decide to get one of these cameras can you let me know how you get on with it please?
My parents and I are thinking of getting one as a Christmas present for my sister. Yeah I know it's some months till Christmas but she lives in Australia and my parents will be visiting before Christmas and either need to take it out there or find out where to buy one there.
Cheers

| | | Re: TZ series any good ? Jessops in Aylesbury had one in stock when I visited on Friday, it was an order for another customer. I guess it's probably been collected now though.
Incidentally, they told me that neither the Wycombe nor Aylesbury branches of Jessops would be closing.
