create an online album

Hi I have some pics that I would like to share, but I do not have a clue how to create an album, which I can share online, any advice, please.

if they are wildlife related the easiest way is to load them into one of our galleries - ideally forum images if you just want toshare them online - then you can search for your user name and copy the url to send to people

if they arent wildlife related go to flickr or photobox or the like who will give you step by step instrucytions - but remember not to link them from there to wab , pics to go up on wab need to be in our galleries first

Hi tried to upload file says the are to big, can photo files be shrunk??

you can shrink a photo file in a photo editor - free ones that can be downloaded are GIMP (careful how you search for that - it stands for Gnu image manipulation programe so it might be best to search for the whole name ) picasa - from google, and Irfanview , a quick google should find them all

its best to shrink photos to about 600x800 pix at 72dpi and make sure that you change the file name so that you dont overwrite your original.

also you can load files of more or less any size into our forum galleries as stu took the size restriction off this one a while back

If you want to share online you could always try Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing
It's quite quick to sign up, and its a great place to share, search and chat photos!
You dont have to change file sizes or you can get a uploader application to do it for you.

I also use 'Snapfish' to store photos and share them it's quite a neat set up. You can order prints and a variety of other items like personal calenders, etc. My sister made a calender for my mum and it was amazing.

Yeah, Snapfish i one of the online places I use for printing (i find the sharing feature not as easy though). If you search HotUKDeals - Voucher and Discount Codes then you can get credits for free photos!

while this is true can i just reiterate that while flickr , snapfish , photobucket are useful sites the wab policy is that if you want to display images on the forums then they must be uploaded to our galleries and linked from there, not from third party sites.
