A quick test

As it was so sunny today I thought I would take my scope and camera to work then go for a walk in my dinner hour to see if I could get any decent photos with my replacement camera.

Unfortunately everwhere around me was bathed in beautiful sunshine except where I was. It was almost a blanket of black cloud. The other unfortunate aspect of this walk was the distinct lack of birds. 4 Chaffinches flew over but didn't land. Two pigeons did the same and on scanning the countryside there was a huge flock of Corvids -- one mile or so away.

What to photograph was the next question. Well one thing for certain there were no digiiscoping subjects to try this setup on so I settled for a Horse that was feeding by the side of me and a cloud formation. Still at least it works.

Now for the big test at the weekend hopefully.

Fingers crossed for the weekend John, although its been beautiful here all this week.

I think I may have a change and go and photograph some of the bigger birds with engines.
