350D print resolution

Hey guys,

I'm wondering about the resolution for printing my photos.

I have a 350D and I wanna know what size I can print them out up to before they start to lose quality.

Is 10 x 8 still good quality?

You should get great prints at 10x8 Chris. I certainly do from my Nikon D70 which has a lower resolution than the 350D.

Providing you are shooting the 350D at the finest jpegs or RAW you should easily get a A4 print - I have got some terrific prints at 16" x 12" from this camera. The 350D gives an image size of 3456 x 2304 so if you print at 200 DPI you will get a 17" wide print. I have even see some very good prints at A3 from a 8mb camera.
I know some people say you should print at 300 dpi but a lot depends on the shot itself and I have got good prints down to 150 dpi.

That's a big help guys, I've never really needed to print off anything yet but I think I might start doing so for exhibitions and competitons etc...
