| | | New Megxon Z6 Anyone know if this is any good especially for a beginner????
Introducing the New Megxon Z6
A new era in digital camera design has emerged, the Z6 is packed with all the features people have to come to expect from digital cameras, but with one exceptional difference. The Vx600 is equipped with the most amazing lens I have ever seen on a compact digital camera. Developed by Ricoh It allows revolutionary pin sharp focusing from infinity right down to just 1cm away from the lens. It also boasts a 4.8x optical zoom, equivalent to an SLR 28mm-135mm Lens. If this camera is a little higher value than your budget, please think again, you are only paying an extra few £££s for a whole new world of quality
Main features
Max. Resolution up to 10.0 MP
6.36 Mege Pixel CCD by Panasonic
Max. 38X Zoom (4.8X Optical and 8X Digital Zoom)
Auto Exposure Control
Center / Spot / Matrix Metering System
1 cm Macro
MPEG-4 Video with Audio
15 Scene Mode and 11 Digital Filter
2.5" LTPS TFT LCD (230 K Pixels, 960x240)
Voice Record
The lens on the vx600 camera uses expensive quality glass, and the designers have enabled it to automatically tuck away behind a solid Metal Lens protector
Standard Accessories
NP-40 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery with charger
Mini USB Cable
TV-Out Cable
Hand Strap
Pouch

It may be OK for a beginner snap-shooter, but for more serious work I'd steer well clear of something like this and invest in Nikon/Canon/Pentax systems. You'd be far better off saving your money and buy into a decent SLR (or at the very least, a bridge camera) system. Interpolation is where the software 'guesses' at the image to give the 10mp resolution. Not good. A 1 cm focusing distance is also a non starter. At that distance you run the risk of your own shadow being in shot. As for 'expensive quality glass"...at that price, I don't think so.
Check out user reviews on this site (and others), and start saving. Other people, of course, will have different opinions.

Digitial zoom is a waste of time you can do that better in software than in the camera. Upto 10Mp max resolution ?? sounds like it is interpolated from a smaller file size, again better to do this in software.
Probably a rebadged end-of-line camera that someone is trying to shift at a profit.
Seen on ebay ??

| | | Re: New Megxon Z6 Apparently it's a re-badged updated version of Ricoh Caplio R2, a 6 megapixel camera. the 10 mpixel is done by interpolation, so that's a feature you can forget. It's also sold under many other weird brand names.
It's probably OK as a camera for someone that doesn't bother to take many pictures. |
