| | | Sigma 120-300 f2.8 Hello folks,
Looking into a fast mid range zoom to complement my 500mm f4.5 - any views on the above and it's performance with T/Cs and suitability for general wildlife.
Any users?, or should I just follow Boddie's lead and get Canon 70-200 IS 2.8?
Cheers for any thoughts

| | | Re: Sigma 120-300 f2.8 Depends what you intend shooting most of the time... the sigma is a great Lens as is the 70-200IS
the sigma is bigger and quite a beast for regular walking about stuff, whereas the 70-200 is still big but much more managable
for birding though the sigma would be a better bet

| | | Re: Sigma 120-300 f2.8 The reviews I've read all say it works a treat with both 1.4X and 2X Converters, so you can have a F5.6 600mm! As I said in another thread, this is the lens I would love to own, if only I could manage it. If I was fit, I'd have one tomorrow. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
